HAC Policies
MONTHLY SHOWS AND ENTRIES:
CATEGORIES:
2D—any flat work. This will include mixed medium works, oil, watercolor, pastel, chalk, charcoal, acrylic, digital art (works created on a computer or tablet in a non-photographic process), other unspecified 2D art.
Photography—done with a photographic process (digital or traditional), taken with a camera or device with a lens.
3D & Other--This will include sculpture or work in clay, upcycled art works, This will also include fiber art, stained glass, mosaic tile, collages, etc.
Maximum size for entries—50” overall (length+width). No piece will be accepted unless we have room for it after all entries are hung.

Hanging wire is preferred for hanging. Other methods are acceptable if the artwork is clean, secure and ready to hang. All artwork must be capable of being safely hung and displayed.

Artwork may not be re-entered in a new show if it has won a cash prize in a previous show.
Honorable Mentions maybe re-entered in a new show.
Artists cannot receive 2 awards in the same category.
VOLUNTEER AND MEMBERSHIP PERKS:
VOLUNTEER PERKS:
If you volunteer in any capacity 10 hours in a month, you may get 1 free entry with 1 paid entry in the next month’s show.
If you rent wall or case space, you may take 1/2 off your rental price instead of a free entry.
MEMBERSHIP PERKS:
If members renew their membership in the month it is due, they will receive 1 free entry in that month’s show. Renew membership with drop-off and let gallery sitter know why you are getting a free entry.

If a member secures a sponsor for a show ($750.00), they receive 10% credit ($75.00) toward artwork purchase, rent, etc.

Members may rent wall or case space in either of the two rooms next to the gallery. Costs range from $20 to $25 per month, depending on the size of the space. Contact person: Robin D’Adamo 609 287-0918. (See Gift Shop Consignment)

Members have the opportunity to display work for a month on our display at the Atlantic County Library in Hammonton. Contact person: Betty Domenico, 609 561-4212. Participants may advertise and/or have their own reception at the library. Please coordinate with the library manager, Rachel.

INSTRUCTORS:
COMMISSIONS AND RENTALS
HAC COMMISSION ON SALES:
HAC gets a 30% commission on all sales in monthly exhibits.
HAC gets a 10% commission on all sales in rental wall space or cases.
Artists will be paid for work sold the month following the sale.

GIFT SHOP CONSIGNMENT:
Consignment forms must be filled out and submitted to Gift Shop Chair (Robin D’Adamo). An inventory sheet must also be filled out and put in turquoise binder listing all work.

DONATIONS:
Recognition on website for large donations to HAC: $100 Friend of the Arts, $250 Patron of the Arts, $500 Sponsor

PURCHASE REIMBURSEMENT:
Any one who needs to be reimbursed for a HAC purchase must submit a form with receipt of purchase. All purchases need to be approved by President or Treasurer.

PARTIES OR SPACE RENTAL (upstairs room next to the gallery)
If someone wants to hold a party with arts/crafts at HAC, the instructor sets the price based on number of attendees. There is a minimum of 12 attendees. 75% goes to the instructor and 25% to HAC.
Space (other than a party) may be rented at a cost of $100 per hour, with a 3-hour minimum. Additional hours would be at a cost of $100 per hour. Date and time would depend on gallery sitter availability.
