East Point Lighthouse Monarch and Pink Blossoms

Local artist, Sharon Coyle has been sketching and drawing horses since she was a little girl.  Over time, as she has developed as an artist, she is still drawn to paint horses and other animals which remain her favorite subject matter, along with landscapes, seascapes and still lifes.

Sharon has devoted herself to the study of light and color, remarking that "Every subject offers a new challenge. I am always striving to capture the soul of the animal or the mood of the scene."

Sharon most enjoys working with acrylics, but finds herself working in many different mediums, including photography.  Her love of painting as well as her subjects is clearly evident in her work.

Sharon exhibits her paintings and prints at local art shows, and has garnered awards for her work, including a recent first place award in Horse News.  Sharon holds a degree in graphic arts and belongs to several art clubs.
