Birches in Bloom Gulls Alighting

Julie Kayati Smith is a local artist who works primarily in watercolors and pastels.

For over 25 years, Julie has shared her love for creative expression as an art teacher.  Julie  teaches elementary school students in a local public school  and enjoys seeing how  free young children are before self- consciousness and self-criticism begin to inhibit many kids.

Julie holds a BA in Fine Arts from Rutgers University and a Masters Degree in Education.

Julie's work reflects her love of nature. She enjoys gardening and birds and the beauty of the outdoors.  Julie has two grown children and resides in Atco, with her husband David and two cats.

As a child, Julie always loved to draw and was encouraged by her parents to develop her skills.
